The Compliance Division focuses its efforts and resources on bringing property owners who failed to comply with Housing codes into compliance with Code requirements. The Division is also responsible for billing and collecting from all property owners for LAHD program fees, as well as registering new owners and issuing Rent registration certificates.
The Division ensures due process is afforded to property owners for the decisions of the LAHD General Manager related to code and habitability issues and, reviews and determines the status of Residential Hotels and residential units within Residential Hotels
