The Los Angeles Housing Department does not provide direct assistance to victims of domestic violence. LAHD provides financial assistance to non-profit organizations that seek to expand the services and number of beds provided for victims of domestic violence and their minor children. Assistance is awarded to service-providing organizations through a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), issued periodically by the LAHD.
